Our 1 – 2 years old Little fireflies

These curious little ones are always on the move, glowing with new energy and endless discovery. At this stage, everything is an adventure—every sound, every texture, every step forward. We nurture that natural spark by giving them plenty of room to explore, climb, create, and try new things in a safe, thoughtfully designed environment made just for them.
Our teachers stay close, offering gentle guidance and warm encouragement as toddlers begin building independence and confidence. Each day is filled with hands-on experiences that strengthen emerging physical skills, support early problem-solving, and help them understand the big feelings that come with growing up. From joyful play to meaningful moments of connection, we celebrate every milestone—big and small.
Curriculum & Milestones
Our exclusive milestone-based curriculum, Learn from the Start™, specifically addresses the developmental needs of growing toddlers. Achievement is observed in five main developmental areas.
Approaches to Learning
Toddlers become independent through exploration and understanding of their surroundings, as well as the development of problem-solving abilities.
Cognitive Development
As they begin to comprehend the world around them, toddlers begin to develop creative and critical thinking skills.
Language Development
Effective communication abilities are strengthened as toddlers begin to use sounds, expressions, body language, and finally, oral and written language, in addition to responding to and understanding others.
Expert Corner:
Helping Children to Communicate Effectively
Effective communication is a key element of each child’s development. From birth, it’s essential for parents to work on positive communication as the first step in helping their child build this skill.
Communicating positively with young children helps them to develop confidence and to build constructive relationships with others.
Physical Development
As they learn to coordinate and control gross and fine muscle movements, toddlers also build an understanding of health and safety concepts.
Social-Emotional Development
Sample Activity: Come Out, Come Out!
Milestone: Begins to enjoy and initiate humor, such as laughing in response to games.
Desired Outcome: Children develop their ability to see humor in situations.
- The teacher shows the children a large box (large enough for a person) and tells them they’re going to play a game. The teacher gets in the box and chants, “I am in the box, oh so still. Will I come out? Yes I will.”
- The teacher comes out of the box and observes the children’s reactions. Do they clap? Are they surprised? What else do they do?
- The teacher invites one child to get inside the box, asks them to sit down, and repeats the chant with that child’s name in it (explaining that hearing their name is the cue for them to get out of the box).
- The game continues until every child has had a chance in the box.
