Kids Space Learning Center (KSLC) is an early learning environment where children grow through exploration, creativity, and care. Our goal is to nurture curiosity, confidence, and kindness — helping every child’s bright future take flight.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, offering age-appropriate programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-K learners.
We’re open Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Kids Space Learning Center observes a select number of holidays each year to allow our teachers and staff time to rest and celebrate with their families. Our center will be closed on the following days:
- New Year’s Eve – closing early at 3:00 pm
- New Year’s Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Thursday & Friday
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day (day after Christmas)
If a holiday falls on a weekend, the center may close on the nearest weekday (Friday or Monday). A detailed annual holiday calendar is shared with families at the beginning of each year and posted in the parent communication app and front lobby.
Our curriculum blends play-based learning with structured developmental milestones. We focus on literacy, math readiness, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and creative expression.
Yes. Our infant room offers a calm and nurturing space where babies can feel secure, loved, and encouraged to explore. Through soft music, sensory play, and warm interaction, our caregivers focus on building trust and supporting early development in communication, movement, and emotional growth.
No. Parents/guardians must provide an adequate supply of disposable diapers and wipes for their child or children who are not yet potty trained.
Our infants follow a consistent feeding and nap schedule that supports each child’s natural rhythms while helping them ease into a predictable daily routine, while older children participate in a designated quiet or nap time to recharge and prepare for the rest of their afternoon. Each classroom maintains a steady, age-appropriate balance of learning, play, and rest throughout the day.
Yes, KSLC provides balanced meals and snacks in accordance with nutritional guidelines. Parents should notify the center of any food allergies. Outside food is not permitted unless authorized for medical or cultural reasons.
We take allergies very seriously. Parents complete an Allergy & Medical Form so we can ensure safe meal plans and prevent cross-contamination. Allergy information is posted in classrooms and the kitchen to keep every child safe.
Our center features secured entry access, monitored classrooms, and strict authorized pickup procedures. All staff undergo background checks and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
At KSLC, the health and safety of our children and staff is our highest priority.
- Children must not be brought to the center if they have:
- Fever (100.4°F or higher)
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Contagious illness (e.g., strep throat, flu, conjunctivitis)
- Children must be fever-free for 24 hours without medication before returning.
- If a child becomes ill during the day, parents will be contacted immediately to pick up the child.
Yes. Medication may be administered with a signed Medication Authorization Form from a parent and physician. All medications must be provided in the original container with clear instructions and authorization. All medications are stored securely and given only by trained staff.
We use a daily communication app, Brightwheel, where teachers share updates, photos, meal logs, nap times, and activities throughout the day. You are also free to email the center director with any questions about your child.
Absolutely! Parents are always welcome to visit or observe their child’s classroom at any time, as long as the visit does not disrupt the learning environment.
We use positive guidance and redirection, focusing on helping children make good choices, express their feelings appropriately, and learn empathy and self-control in a supportive setting.
To enroll your child, parents/guardians must provide:
- Completed enrollment forms
- Current immunization records (as required by Texas state law)
- Emergency contact information
- Documentation of any allergies or medical conditions
Enrollment is confirmed once all documentation and fees are received.
Tuition varies by age group and schedule. Please contact our office for current rates and availability.
Yes, Kids Space Learning Center accepts NCI.
Families who receive NCI benefits are welcome, and we’re happy to help guide you through the process. If you’re new to NCI or need assistance with paperwork or attendance requirements, our team is here to support you every step of the way.
If your child will not be attending for up to 4 weeks, full payment is still required. Tuition secures your child’s spot and allows the center to maintain staffing and daily operations.
If your child will be absent for longer than 4 weeks, you may choose to continue holding their spot with regular tuition, or you can unenroll and reenroll when your child returns. Please note that full registration and supply fees will be required at the time of reenrollment.
We offer both full-time and part-time enrollment options, depending on space availability. Drop-in care may be available for currently enrolled families.
Yes. A one-time registration fee is due upon enrollment, and an annual supply fee helps maintain classroom materials and educational resources.
Yes! From Family Fun Days, Birthday Parties, and Seasonal Celebrations to Graduation Ceremonies, we love creating opportunities for families to connect and celebrate together.
Our center combines a nurturing environment, an engaging curriculum, and open family communication — all guided by our mission to help every child grow with confidence, curiosity, and care.
The safety of our children and staff is always our top priority. In the event of severe weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies, Kids Space Learning Center will follow all local and state emergency guidelines.
In case of severe weather approaching the area, please monitor local radio and television stations for updates. If Houston ISD announces a closure or early release due to weather conditions, Kids Space Learning Center will follow the same schedule. Families may be asked to pick up their child early if conditions worsen during the day.
We conduct regular safety drills—including fire, severe weather, and lockdown drills—so that children and staff are prepared to respond calmly and safely in any emergency situation.
In the event of an emergency, parents will be notified as soon as it is safe to do so. Emergency evacuation plans are posted in each classroom, and drills are performed regularly in accordance with state and local requirements.
If we are unable to return to the building, children will be safely relocated to our designated evacuation site at Taylor High School, located at 7555 Howell Sugarland Rd, Houston, TX 77083. Parents or authorized guardians may pick up their child from that location.
For the safety of every child, only parents/guardians and individuals listed on the child’s enrollment form as authorized to pick up will be allowed to remove a child from KSLC.
- Identification Required: Anyone other than the parent/guardian must show a valid photo ID at the time of pick-up. Staff will verify that the name matches the child’s authorized pick-up list.
- Written Updates: Parents must provide an updated form if they wish to add or remove individuals from their child’s authorized pick-up list.
- Emergency Pick-Up: In the event of an emergency, parents may provide authorization for an alternate pick-up through the Bright Wheel app. A photo ID will still be required.
- No Exceptions: For the safety of the children, staff cannot release a child to anyone who is not on the authorized list without prior written consent from the parent/guardian.
Yes, photos and short videos may occasionally be taken during classroom activities, special events, or celebrations to capture learning moments and highlight the joy of our KSLC community.
We respect every family’s privacy and follow strict guidelines regarding the use of images. Photos and videos are never used publicly (such as on social media, websites, or marketing materials) without prior written consent from a parent or guardian.
During enrollment, parents complete a Photo and Media Release Form indicating their preferences for how their child’s image may be used. Families may update these preferences at any time by contacting the center’s administration.
Our Promise to Families
- Your child’s last name or personal details will never be shared publicly.
- Images will always be used in a respectful, positive way.
- Media is shared only to highlight activities, celebrate accomplishments, and strengthen our community connection.
